<p>Another week of College Football is upon us and we are inching closer to the College Football Playoffs. This weekend we are treated with a top-10 matchup between #7 Michigan State and #4 Ohio State. While it&rsquo;s the destination for College Gameday the oddmakers don&rsquo;t think it will be much of a game, as Ohio State is currently an 18-point favorite. Nonetheless, we are turning our attention to another game. With the SEC Championship in their scope, we look at the Alabama Crimson Tide who host the Arkansas Razorbacks.</p>

<h3>#21 Arkansas Razorbacks at #2 Alabama Crimson Tide (Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET)</h3>

<p>When combing through the college football slate, as when I landed on this game a tear began to roll down my face. As a Bama guy, I never want to bet against my own squad, but here we are. The bet I am interested in is <strong>Arkansas +21 (-115)</strong>. While Alabama have been playing very well the past few games, much of this bet has to do with KJ Jefferson and the Razorbacks.</p>

<p>6&rsquo;3 sophomore Jefferson has been the answer the Razorbacks have been looking for. He is having a great season with 22 total touchdowns and just three interceptions. He size and decision making keeps Arkansas competitive in any game. Outside of the 37-0 beatdown they suffered from Georgia; they have been competitive in every game they have played this season.</p>

<p>Arkansas has excelled as an underdog this season. Their lone ATS loss as a dog this season was at the hands of Georgia. Alabama will likely win this game, but their defense at times has their question marks. Will Anderson is the player I am most afraid of as an Arkansas backer. If he&rsquo;s able to live in the backfield it could be a tough, ask from the Razorbacks to stay competitive.</p>

<p>Yet, I still like Arkansas here. This is not the 2020 Alabama team. Their inability to affectively run the ball at times this season has allowed teams to pin their ears back and blitz. There were early questions about the Arkansas run defense, but since the Ole Miss game they have not allowed a team over 138 rushing yards. Look for them to have enough offense to keep this inside 20. <strong>Bet one unit on Arkansas +21 (-110). </strong></p>

CFB Best Bets: Razorbacks Keep it Close in T-Town

<p>It&rsquo;s that time of year where the AP Polls no longer matter, and the College Football Playoff Committee rank the teams they find deserving. This year, much like all the others, the committee has disappointed many around the nation. There are none more disappointed than the Cincinnati Bearcats. Many believed the Group of 5 deserves a shot if they check all the boxes. To them and many others, they are a top four team. It&rsquo;s not up to me to determine if Cincinnati is deserving of playoff spot, however, I expect them to use the committee&rsquo;s decision as motivation for the remainder of the season.</p>

<h2><strong>Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at #6 Cincinnati Bearcats (-22.5) | Saturday at 3:30 pm E.T. </strong></h2>

<p>Backing the Bearcats these past two weeks have been treacherous. They struggled against Navy and were tested against Tulane. However, the Bearcats were able to come out victorious and continue their unbeaten streak. While they might have struggled against both teams, they return to Nippert where they have been dominant. They have eclipsed the 40-point mark in all four home games with an average score of 49.75. Their defense at home has been stellar only allowing 11 points per game and less than 300 yards of total offense.</p>

<p>The Golden Hurricanes have struggled defensively this season giving up over 30 points per game. They are 3-5 on the season and 3-5 ATS. High powered offenses like Ohio State and Houston have fared well scoring points against Tulsa. Unfortunately for them, they are playing a Bearcats team that is out to prove something. Led by senior quarterback Desmond Ridder and junior running back Jerome Ford, this offense is efficient and talented. I am backing <strong>Cincinnati team total over 38.5 points (-125) for 2 units</strong>. The Golden Hurricanes have yet to show they are capable of stopping strong offenses. With Cincy&rsquo;s lock down defense, I don&rsquo;t expect the Golden Hurricanes to be on the field as long, giving the Bearcats more than enough opportunities to hit their team total.</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Bearcats Aim to Prove the Committee Wrong

<p>The College Football landscape continues to get flipped on its axis as top 10 teams continue to lose. The most shocking loss in football last weekend was the nine overtime &ldquo;thriller&rdquo; with unranked Illinois outlasting Penn State. I use the term thriller loosely as the total only reached 38 points. With a big game at Ohio State this weekend it&rsquo;s safe to say the Nittany Lions could have been looking ahead. Nonetheless, no teams are safe this season. However, we turn our attention to one of the hottest teams in the ACC. According to ESPN, Pittsburgh has 23% chance to make the College Football Playoff. But to Kenny Pickett and company, they know if they win the games on their schedule they have as good as a shot as anyone.</p>

<h2>Miami Hurricanes at #17 Pittsburgh Panthers</h2>

<p>There might not be a hotter seat than the seat of Miami&rsquo;s head coach Manny Diaz. To many it&rsquo;s a shock that Diaz has not been fired yet. This Hurricanes has underwhelmed all season. They are 3-4 and at times look like one of the least competent teams in the ACC. They are on the heels of two very competitive games against UNC and NC State. There performance against NC State should be applauded as they were able to end a two-game losing streak. Tyler Van Dyke played well completing 25 of their 33 passes for four touchdowns and no interceptions.</p>

<p>During their streak of questionable performances, it hasn&rsquo;t been their offense that has been in question; it&rsquo;s the defense. Outside of their shutout victory against Central Connecticut, their defense has been fairly terrible. This once stout defense is now allowing 30 points and almost 400 total yards. Their pass defense has done well to get to the quarterback, but their run defense has been getting gashed.</p>

<p>The strength of this Pittsburgh is the arm and decision making of Kenny Pickett. In last week&rsquo;s article I highlighted how well Kenny Pickett had been playing. Clemson was set to be a big test for Pickett. Mind you Clemson&rsquo;s defense was only allowing around 12 points per game. The Panthers scored 27 points and Kenny Pickett went 25/39 for 302 yards and two touchdowns.</p>

<p>Great offense has been a norm for the Panthers. They are averaging 45 points per game and have excelled in both the run and the pass game. There are two looks I like for this Pittsburgh team (6-1 ATS). With Pitt&rsquo;s stellar offense and their strong defense, I am looking at their team total and the alternate spread. If you aren&rsquo;t a fan of alternate lines or don&rsquo;t have it available, feel free to take -9 (-115).</p>

<p>The first bet I am locking in is <strong>Pitt -14 (+150)</strong>. Pittsburgh is 6-1 ATS this season with an average margin of victory. Their plus/minus to the spread is over 11 points which means they are covering their spreads by over 11 points. The second bet I am taking is <strong>Pitt Team Total over 36.5 point (-110) for 0.5 units</strong>. Brad's Best Bets - Back Pickett and the Panthers this Weekend

<p>After a fun week of European competition, it&rsquo;s only right that we turn our attention to one of the more entertaining leagues, the German Bundesliga. Currently the top spot on the table is held by reigning league champions Bayern Munich and right behind them Borussia Dortmund, who we will be focusing in on for this week&rsquo;s action. A bounce back game is on taps for Dortmund after an embarrassing 4-nil Champions League loss to Ajax.</p>

<p><strong>Arminia Bielefeld vs Borussia Dortmund | Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET</strong></p>

<p>The league&rsquo;s second place team has a rough go of it in their midweek Champions League match. They were dominated in every facet of the game. Good news for Dortmund is they can erase that match from their memory and work to start a new winning streak. For them, Arminia Bielefeld are the perfect opponent. A team who lacks a strong offensive scoring threat and are in bad form.</p>

<p>Bielefeld come into this weekend&rsquo;s fixture second from the bottom with just four goals scored on the season. In their last five the are 0-2-3. While they aren&rsquo;t the leagues worst defensive team, they are pretty poor. A team like Dortmund should not have many issues finding the back of the net.</p>

<p>Dortmund need a game like this. Outside of their embarrassing defeat to Ajax they had been in a good run of form. Winners of four out of their last five and second on the table by just one point. They are second to Bayern in expected goals scored and actual goals scored. One thing that I like when I look at their expected goal rating is their conversion rate is rather high. Sometimes you see clubs with high xG and they don&rsquo;t have the goals to match it. That&rsquo;s where the reg flags begin to raise, that is not the case here.</p>

<p>I&rsquo;m not normally a fan of backing team because they are in the classic get right spot, but Dortmund is set up for success here. I am going to back the better team despite them being on the road coming off an embarrassing shutout defeat. Give me <strong>Dortmund -1 (-115)</strong> for 1 unit.</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Dortmund Rebound with Bielefeld Victory

<p>One of my favorite leagues to bet is the German Bundesliga. For years the Bundesliga has been dominated by Bayern Munich. This year, Bayern look stronger than ever. The reason I love backing games in the Bundesliga is the insane output of goals. Leagues like the Premier League are fun to bet because of the brand name clubs you are backing. Leagues like Bundesliga are fun because it&rsquo;s always more fun to root for goals. For comparison&rsquo;s sake, the average goals per game in the EPL is 2.67 and the average goals per game in the Bundesliga is 2.89. The action I am looking at is the total in Bochum vs Frankfurt.</p>

<h2><strong>VfL Bochum vs Eintracht Frankfurt | Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET</strong></h2>

<p>Bochum have had an undesirable start in their return season in the Bundesliga. As it stands now, they are just one point outside of the relegation zone. Bochum have a myriad of offensive and defensive issues. They have only scored five goals on the season while allowing 16 for a goal differential of -11. The are 14th on the table in expected goals and 17th in expected goals allowed. Thomas Reis is lucky his team has climbed out of the relegation zone for now.</p>

<p>Even with Bochum&rsquo;s inability to score goals, their games are averaging 2.63 goals per game. They have kept clean sheets against Greuther F&uuml;rther, Stuttgart and Mainz. Even with clean sheets in 38% of their games over 2.5 has hit in 50% of their games.</p>

<p>Frankfurt are a bit unfortunate to be as close to the relegation zone as they are. With only losing two games on the season, you would think they would be positioned middle of the table at worse. However, they have only won one game this season and have failed to keep a clean sheet. The loss of star Andre Silva has most certainly impacted the club from a goal output standpoint. New manager Oliver Glasner must use their recent Europa win as a steppingstone up the table.</p>

<p>While there is some value in backing Frankfurt moneyline at +130, I am more interested in backing the goals here. It&rsquo;s a bit juicy but I am interested in <strong>both teams to score (-145)</strong>. Frankfurt have not kept a clean sheet all season, I don&rsquo;t expect them to start this weekend. <p>For years the top four of college football has been dominated by Clemson, Alabama, and Ohio State. Whether other teams caught up or those blue blood programs are in periods of transition and regression, it seems that we may have a newcomer hoisting the trophy at the end of the year. While Clemson&rsquo;s team is off to one of the worst starts in the past few years, they are not college football&rsquo;s biggest surprise. That spot is reserved for Cincinnati who is currently undefeated and second in the country. For this week&rsquo;s action we are turning our attention to one of the surprise teams mentioned. Our action will come from Clemson at Pittsburgh.</p>

<h2><strong>Clemson Tigers (4-2) at #23 Pittsburgh Panthers</strong> | <strong>Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET</strong></h2>

<p>It&rsquo;s clear this year&rsquo;s Clemson team doesn&rsquo;t rival that of year&rsquo;s past. For many teams around the country an opportunity to still make their conference title game this late in the season is a welcomed sight, for Clemson, their aspirations are much higher. It&rsquo;s almost title or bust for Dabo Sweeny. Debo knew it would tough sledding, replacing a generational talent like Trevor Lawrence is a huge ask. Sure, Clemson fans were ecstatic about the former 5-star incumbent DJ Uiagalelei. However, he has yet to live up to the expectations.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Clemson went from averaging nearly 350 yards in the air and over 500 yards of total offense to just 180 yards through the air and less than 350 yards of total offense. Quite frankly, if it were not for their stout defense, they would likely be closer to .500.</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s not all DJ&rsquo;s fault. Their once highly touted offensive line has had troubles protecting the quarterback. DJ has been sacked 12 times this season and is seemingly always under pressure. Clemson owns one of the worst three-and-out percentages in college football. While they struggle to get drives going, they also struggle to convert on third down. They are 86th in the country at third down conversions.</p>

<p>Should Clemson remain competitive in this game, there&rsquo;s no question they will have to win this game with defense first. Unlucky for them they are playing against a veteran quarterback with knows how to protect the football.</p>

<p>I am backing <strong>Pittsburgh -3 (-110)</strong> against the Tigers. Led by senior quarterback Kenny Pickett, this offense has been humming. They currently hold the second spot for total points scored and are fifth in passing yards per game. Pickett has thrown for 1,934 yards 21 touchdowns and just one interception. He has also added another three touchdowns on the ground. Pittsburgh&rsquo;s keys to victory are to continue to move the ball effectively on the ground and protect the ball throughout the game.</p>

<p>Clemson has played this matchup tough winning two of the last three by an average score of 45 to 23. This year is different. Clemson is in a rebuild mode and struggle to move the ball. <p>After a long international break, domestic soccer is back in action this weekend with a slate packed with potential value. As always, it&rsquo;s important to be very careful when shopping lines after team&rsquo;s top talent have spent the break grinding for World Cup contention with their respective countries. This week, I found a line in the Everton vs West Ham match that deserves our attention.</p>

<h2>Everton vs West Ham | Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET</h2>

<p>There&rsquo;s no denying Rafel Benitez has Everton in fine form to start the season. They are currently fifth on the table and have gone 3-1-1 in their last five games. With 14 points only two points separate them from first placed Liverpool. They are in the top six in expected goals and are second in goals this season. It makes total sense why the public is backing Everton.</p>

<p>One thing I&rsquo;ll be certain to always hold true, money movement in soccer is not as important as it is in other sports. If you&rsquo;ve monitored the lines, heavy money movement moved the Everton line down to the +140s. After it got as low as +130 on some books, the movement moved it back closer to the +160 range. A good amount of soccer money comes from value hunters. Which is a reason I try to not let money movement distract my handicapping of a match.</p>

<p>For this match up, I will be backing West Ham. The moneyline looks enticing, however there is still value playing it a different way. West Ham for the first time in a long time have a clean bill of health. Their form hasn&rsquo;t been great coming into this with a 1-2-2 record in their last five. However, it&rsquo;s easy to poke holes in the great form Everton bear. Everton has started the season with wins over Norwich, Burnley, Brighton and Southampton. It&rsquo;s fair for anyone who doesn&rsquo;t want to get too high on the Toffee&rsquo;s sizzling start.</p>

<p>While being ninth on the table it&rsquo;s a good opportunity for us to back West Ham this weekend. Two major problems the Hammers have faced have been their congested schedule and the availability of Michail Antonio. With International break slowing the club&rsquo;s pace down a bit and Antonio being fit and healthy there is value in draw no bet. Keep in mind, this is a West Ham team who has not lost a road game in all competitions this season.</p>

<p>The leaves are turning, and the pumpkin spice lattes are being poured before we watch our favorite college football teams go to battle! Fall football is always full of big upsets, big surprises and lots of tailgating. As it stands now, the SEC has a new king and the Big 10 is here to stay! For this week&rsquo;s action we are turning our attention to one of the biggest year-over-year turnarounds in college football; Michigan State at Indiana.</p>

<p>At the start of the season, if you asked me if I would be backing the Spartans when they made the trip to Indiana, I would&rsquo;ve told you you&rsquo;re crazy. If you would have asked if I&rsquo;d thought they&rsquo;d be road favorites, I&rsquo;d probably would&rsquo;ve laughed in your face. That&rsquo;s the beauty of College Football. In year two Mel Tucker has the Spartans rolling! The Spartans are 6-0 and have already hit their preseason win total set by Vegas.</p>

<p>For Indiana, this has been a nightmare season. Tom Allen&rsquo;s team was excited to start the season with a healthy Michael Penix Jr and momentum from last season. So far, it has been a rollercoaster for the Hoosiers. They started the season getting dominated by Iowa in a game which many thought they would be competitive. The Hoosiers have struggled defensively all season, allowing 28 points per game while letting teams run all over them. It also doesn&rsquo;t help when you are having terrible quarterback play. In games against Iowa, Cincinnati, and Penn State, Penix Jr has thrown for less than 550 yards, only two touchdowns and seven interceptions. Now with question marks around Penix Jr&rsquo;s availability, they have been coy about who will be under center Saturday. Whether it be Penix Jr or Jack Tuttle, the Hooisers will have their hands full.</p>

<p>I will be backing the <strong>Spartans -3.5 (-110) odds via FanDuel</strong> this weekend. If you haven&rsquo;t heard the name Kenneth Walker III, you should do yourself a favor and watch some of his game tape. Walker has been running like a man possessed. The 210 lbs. junior already has 913 yards and nine touchdowns. Indiana has played a few quality backs to start the season, but they have not played one like Walker. I expect Walker, who already has a pair of 200+ rushing games to at worst break the 100-yard threshold.</p>

<p>The Spartans are 4-1-1 against the spread this year and should have no problems handling the struggling Hoosiers. Regardless of who is under center for the Hooisers, I am still confident the Spartans handle business.</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Sparty to Capitalize on Indiana's Bad Run D

<p>Week six in the College Football season is here and the top four is currently dominated by the SEC and the Big 10. I said this once and I am going to say it again, this is the most parity we&rsquo;ve seen in College Football in quite some time. I can guarantee that we will not have the same top four teams in as short as a month from now. This weekend I am attacking the Boise State at #10 BYU matchup. I&rsquo;ve monitored the quarterback situation over the past week to see who would be active for the Cougars. Two days ago, Jaren Hall tweeted that he is on pace to play. For that reason, I will be backing the Cougars. Since the spread is still a bit higher than I&rsquo;d like, I will be parlaying their moneyline with the Alabama Crimson Tide -10.</p>

<h3>Why BYU will win:</h3>

<p>The number 10 Cougars have had their ups and downs with battling the injury bug this season. Starting quarterback Jaren Hall was under center the first three games until he was sidelined with a rib injury. In his absence back up quarterback Baylor Romney took over. Luckily for BYU, Romney is an accurate quarterback who likely could start at most schools around the nation. Unfortunately for BYU, Romney left last game with a concussion and is unlikely to play this weekend. However, Jaren Hall is on track to play this weekend. He&rsquo;s a dual threat quarterback that has the ability to hurt you with his accurate arm or his effortless mobility.</p>

<p>A fortunate brace for the BYU offense is their stout running game. The Cougars are led by sophomore running back Tyler Allgeier. Allgeier has rushed for 569 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Allgeier has the vision and speed to bust a defense wide open and take any run to the house. This will be one of the reasons BYU wins this game. Boise State are terrible against the run. Through five games this season the Boise State defense has surrendered over 1,100 yards on the ground. The Broncos are normally known for their defense but have had a tough go of it this season.</p>

<p>BYU are every bit of that number 10 raking in front of their name. Despite Boise State owning this rivalry recently, it&rsquo;s BYU&rsquo;s game to lose. They have the edge in almost every statistical category. With the Cougars having this game at home, I am comfortable backing BYU to win in this match up.</p>

<h3>Why Alabama will cover -10:</h3>

<p>Alabama travel to College Station as the number one team in the nation. Rightfully so, the defending national champions have had a stellar start to the season. Through five games the Crimson Tide have not trailed all season and have an average margin of victory +25.8 which is good for fourth best in the nation. Star quarterback Bryce Young has filled the void left by Mac Jones and is the front runner for the Heisman trophy.</p>

<p>The Tide are an 18-point favorite when they travel to Texas this weekend. By the play of their defense last game against Ole Miss, it&rsquo;s evident that defensive coordinator Pete Golding is getting the most out of his team. In the game against Ole Miss, Alabama held the Rebels scoreless in the first half. Coming into the contest Ole Miss led the nation in fourth down conversion. They finished last week 2/5 on fourth.</p>

<p>Jimbo Fisher and company had high expectations coming into the season. It&rsquo;s difficult to replace the production quarterback Kellan Mond offered. With Zach Calzada, they lack the passing game necessary to give the Tide fits. Much like Boise State, their biggest weakness is their rushing defense. Alabama lost one of their running backs last weekend to a season ending injury but still have a wealth of talent at that position. As long as lead back Brian Robinson Jr. is healthy, he should cause problems for the Aggies.</p>

<p>Texas A&amp;M are 2-3 against the spread this season are out classed and over matched this weekend. Alabama will cover the 10 points and likely cover the original spread.</p>

<p>Last weekend we were some of the few to back Notre Dame when they traveled to Chicago Illinois to take on Wisconsin. The Fighting Irish battled through adversity and were able to come out victorious. In fact, not only did they win, they won in dramatic fashion. While Wisconsin was the team touted for their elite defense it was Notre Dame with picked Wisconsin of multiple times for touchdowns. This week we are going back to the navy and gold well.</p>

<h2>#7 Cincinnati Bearcats at #9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish | Saturday at 2:30 PM ET</h2>

<p>Notre Dame welcomes the Cincinnati Bearcats for a 2:30pm kickoff where both teams have huge playoff implications. For Cincinnati, they must believe if they win out, they will be the first Group of 5 team to make the College Football Playoffs. For Notre Dame, they know all they need to do is continue to beat the teams in front of them and they will walk right into the playoffs.</p>

<p>This game has seen line movement all over the place. The line opened with Notre Dame as a 1-point favorite and got as high as Notre Dame being a 3-point underdog (Westgate Superbook). Looks as if the line has settled a bit with Notre Dame being a 2-point dog.</p>

<p>There&rsquo;s not secret that Cincinnati come into this game with an outstanding defense. A defense that picked off Michael Penix Jr. three times and forced one fumble during the Indiana game. The Bearcats have held their opponents to just 15 points per game this season. Unfortunately for them, they aren&rsquo;t the only tough defense Notre Dame has played this season.</p>

<p>I generally like to back teams off a bye week; however, I think Wisconsin served as a great tune-up game for the Notre Dame offense. Early in the game Notre Dame was punched in the mouth and stifled by the elite Wisconsin defense. The offense was able to adjust and begin to challenge the Badgers defense and get points on the board.</p>

<p>Notre Dame enters this contest 6-1 ATS in their last seven has home underdogs; while currently riding a 26-home game win streak. Notre Dame is lucky to have Jack Coan back for this game. I expect both Kyren Williams and Chris Tyree have much better outing against this Cincinnati. While both running backs are averaging less than 3.5 yards per attempt, the weakness of this Cincinnati defense is against the running game. They are allowing over 135 rush yards per game. The run game will be vital to the success for Notre Dame.</p>

<p>Champions League matchday two is here and we have already seen a few of the bigger brand names in soccer drop points at home. Most notably, Real Madrid lost at home to the strong defensive Moldovan side FC Sheriff. Despite dominating the stat sheet, Real found themselves down twice in the match and were unable to recover. Another major upset that might not come to surprise many, is Club Brugge&rsquo;s 2-1 road victory over RB Leipzig. The Blauw-Zwart now find themselves undefeated in group play after two matched. We will turn our attention to Austria where the Austrian Bundesliga champions host the Ligue 1 champions.</p>

<h2>FC Salzburg vs Lille | Wednesday at 3PM ET</h2>

<p>It&rsquo;s probably safe to say that a few soccer fans might be unfamiliar with Salzburg, while others only know them as the smaller club who is most famous for being a factory for producing talent. Many don&rsquo;t know the firepower this Salzburg team is loaded with because year after year they sell talent to top clubs around the world. Under new manager Matthias Jaissle, this Salzburg side seem to play a little better defensively and they are getting major production from their two headed monster Karim Adeyemi and Benjamin Sesko. We must not forget the stellar midfield play from the US national youngster Brenden Aaronson. This is a team that can make serious noise in the Champions League this season.</p>

<p>After coming off a huge 2020-2021 campaign, Lille started the season a bit rocky with an early season draw with Metz and a home shutout loss to Nice. Sitting ninth on the table Jonathan David and company hope to build some momentum on their nil-nil draw against Wolfsburg and back to back Ligue 1 wins. Many who watched the match with Wolfsburg would argue that Lille probably deserved the win there. For their oft-leaky defense, a clean sheet must&rsquo;ve been a welcomed sight. The start of the season has been tough defensively. Mind you this was a club last season who conceded a league low 23 goals. This year they have already conceded 14 goals in just eight games.</p>

<p>If Salzburg&rsquo;s road fixture with Sevilla told you something, it told you Salzburg aren&rsquo;t going to back down from anyone. The first bit of action I am playing for this match is <strong>Both teams to score and Salzburg to win (+285) for 0.5 unit.</strong> Salzburg have started this season with nine wins domestically and a goal differential of 19. However, in their two Champions League victories came to the tune of 2-1. While they were unable to defeat Sevilla, they walked away with a draw after missing two penalty kicks. If Salzburg are to win this match, they will have to outscore Lille. In all three Champions League matches this season one this has remained the same, Salzburg conceding. <p>The game of the week had one of the more predictable results, one goal was scored and soccer fans who tuned in were likely disappointed in the result. When two juggernauts with the skill level of Chelsea and Manchester City face off, low scoring affairs are expected. Sunday&rsquo;s action has a Serie A game that has my attention.</p>

<p>The start of the season for Juventus could not have gone worse. A draw against Udinese where questionable keeper play allowed them to conceded consecutive goals, a loss to league newcomers Empoli, and the departure of superstar Christiano Ronaldo; a terrible recipe for a disappointed coach and restless fans. Luckily for them they were able to pick up their first win of the season when it matters the most, a Champions League smashing of Malmo.</p>

<p>Outside of that Malmo match, Juventus have conceded in every game they have played. Their defense has been less than stellar. Allegri has a lot of work ahead of him to rebuild the Juventus back to it&rsquo;s glory days. This game has look ahead game written all over it. They have a Wednesday Champions League fixture with Chelsea. I would expect some players to rest and the ones that play to not be fully focused on the match with Sampdoria.</p>

<p>Week four of the College Football season is upon us and we are finally feeling what it&rsquo;s like for a top-10 program to travel to hostile environment and show if they have what it takes to survive on the road. Despite being up three scores to start the game, the Alabama Crimson Tide failed to cover the spread. In that second half, the Florida Gators looked like a team who could stand toe-to-toe with anyone in the country. College Football fans better mark their calendars; October 30th the worlds largest cocktail party will surely be a treat.</p>

<h2><strong>#12 Notre Dame vs #18 Wisconsin Badgers | Saturday at 12PM ET</strong></h2>

<p>I&rsquo;m not one to use the term &ldquo;revenge game&rdquo; as a reason for my handicapping, but it must be known this is a bit of a revenge game for Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan. The 22-year-old graduate transfer played for the Badgers 2019 and led them to the Rose Bowl. In 2019 he was more than serviceable throwing for over 2,700 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. His new chapter in Notre Dame has been a bit inconsistent however they are undefeated, and he&rsquo;s thrown for eight touchdowns and only two interceptions.</p>

<p>Wisconsin will be the &ldquo;home&rdquo; team; however, this is a neutral sight game with the contest taking place in Chicago at Soldier Field. I think the spread for the is a bit too high for my liking. Wisconsin proved week one against Penn State that their offense has a lot of work to. They were only able score 10 points despite multiple trips to the redzone. Their game against Eastern Michigan was primarily dominated by the run game, so we are still left with question marks surrounding Mertz.</p>

<p>The star of this game will undoubtedly be running back Kyren Williams. In a hard-fought rivalry game with Purdue, Williams ran the ball for 91 yards and a touchdown and added another 47 yard and a touchdown receiving.</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s important to note that the Fighting Irish have had a great deal of success against the Big 10 in recent years with a 5-0 record against the spread.</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Backing the Badgers Could be Trouble

<p>Week three in College Football is here and one thing remains clear, this might be one of the most competitive football seasons we have had in a while. College Football Playoff mainstays like Clemson and Ohio State already have early season losses. Both ranked losses; so, the road back to the playoffs is not entirely out of reach. This weekend we turn our attention to the top-15 SEC battle down in Gainesville, Florida.</p>

<h2>#1 Alabama Crimson Tide at #11 Florida Gators | Saturday at 3:30 PM ET</h2>

<p>Last year we were given the privilege of watching one of the more fun SEC Championships in recent history. The Tide outlasted the Gators winning to the tune of 52-46. I doubt we will see a contest as electric. Both teams lost a lot of NFL talent on offense. If we&rsquo;re being frank, the Gators were left with the bigger hole to fill. Fortunately for the Tide they had the former number one overall quarterback waiting in the wings.</p>

<p>The Gators losing Kyle Trask has been an evident blow to their offense. Many in Gainesville were excited to see what Emory Jones could do when he was handed the reins to the offense. So far, I have not been impressed. Jones has been picked off three times and has been terrible on third down. The Gators ranked 50th in the nation in third down conversions at 44%. In the SEC if you want to be a serious title contender you must succeed on third downs.</p>

<p>The Gators have protected their home field well only losing one in their last 13 home games, but that will not matter this weekend. I expect Alabama to cover the -14.5 spread. The Gators in their last six are 1-5 against the spread. They face a tough task against the nation number one.</p>

<p>For Alabama, Tide fans should be excited for the future of their young quarterback. Bryce Young might be considered undersized but he uses movement well and has a quick release which helps negate linemen trying to bat the ball at the line of scrimmage.</p>

<p>The run game for the Tide is what they should be most excited about. Tuscaloosa native Brain Robinson has waited his turn and has been making the most of his opportunities. Despite the skill on offense, Alabama will win and cover this game because of their defense. Many believe this defense might rival that 2009 Tide defense. Will Anderson is questionable right now, but should he get the start, he will be in the back field often.</p>

<p>The trends favor the Tide in this match up. They are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against the Gators. Alabama will outpower and outscore the Gators, take <strong>Alabama -14.5 (-110) for 1 unit. </strong></p>

<p>Champions League group play is underway and defending champions Chelsea continued their strong defensive play defeating Zenit 1-nil. Serie A giants were able to pick up their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Malmo. However, the biggest surprise comes from the Swiss Champions, Young Boys, as they came from behind and defeated Premier League runner ups Manchester United.</p>

Over the summer, PSG spent a hefty sum of money to pick up more star players. A few they were able to acquire were Archraf Hakimi, Georginino Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, and most notably Lionel Messi.</p>

<p>Pairing the new talent with the other starts Mbappe and Neymar legitimately gives the PSG faithful something to be excited about. There&rsquo;s no doubt they got better; which was much needed after Lille ended their three-year Ligue 1 championship streak. With the new players, did their defense improve? That remains the question.</p>

<p>The bet I am interested in is <strong>both teams to score</strong> <strong>(-110)</strong>, it might not be the most popular bet of the afternoon but should be one that cashes fairly early. Had this game been played earlier in the season, I would&rsquo;ve probably sat out or been on PSG spread. However, since the beginning of the season Club Brugge have turned things around. They suffered a slight embarrassment against Gent but in the two matches before that they were able to score four and three goals respectively. In their last game with Oostende, they had the look of a club who was ready to shock the world with PSG in their sights. Scoring three goals on 32 shots with an xG of 5.04, they dismantled Oostende.</p>

<p>In the past and even to start the season PSG haven&rsquo;t been the models of defensive excellence. Yes, they have kept clean sheets in back to back matches. <p>College Football week two is here and there are just two Top 25 matchups. Oregon travels to Columbus, Ohio for a Big Noon kickoff against Ohio State. A game that undoubtedly has playoff implications for both teams. Both Oregon and Ohio State escaped last week with victories over unranked teams, however they both still control their own fate. Another exciting game on the slate is Iowa at Iowa State; a game that features two Top-10 teams. Iowa looked impressive in their debut, while Iowa State might have been looking ahead as they struggled mightily against Northern Iowa.</p>

<h2>#10 Iowa at #9 Iowa State | Saturday at 4:30 PM ET</h2>

<p>Listen, I&rsquo;ll be the first person to tell you that it&rsquo;s smart to back the home team in a closely contested rivalry game. This game however, it would be unwise for me to propose such a thing. If we&rsquo;re being honest, I think the wrong team is favored. All offseason all we have heard about are the returning starters for Iowa State and how they are a legitimate playoff contender. Blah, blah, blah&hellip; I&rsquo;m not and have not been an &ldquo;ISU is elite&rdquo; truther. Iowa State lacks one very crucial component to their game, the ability to stretch the field. Last year Iowa State was 49th in yards per pass and even lower in air yards per attempt.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Iowa brings another elite defense into the game. Last week they were able to make a dynamic Indiana offense look bad and basic. Not only did the Hawkeyes hold the Hoosiers to six points, they held them to 156 passing yards and 233 total yards. I expect them to put on another strong defense performance this weekend.</p>

<p>The biggest knock on Iowa has always been the play of the quarterback. For a team as elite defensively as Iowa, all they need is a good running game and a serviceable man under center. Spencer Petras is just that, he&rsquo;s a serviceable quarterback. Since his three-interception outing early in the year against Northwestern last season, he played well. After that brutal outing against Northwestern he threw for eight touchdowns and just two interception. Couple his play with the talent of running back Tyler Goodson, the offense is more than good enough to keep up with their stout defense.</p>

<p>On the other side of the ball we have a talented Iowa State team. It would be unfair of me not to acknowledge last week&rsquo;s game against Northern Iowa as a look ahead game. However, the Cyclones looked awful. Offensively it seemed that Brock Purdy did not take the next step that everyone was expecting. Purdy was efficient but failed to really put them in any danger.</p>

<p>The Cyclones have every tool to win and cover in this game, but I am siding with history and elite defense. I am backing <strong>Iowa to cover the +4.5 points for one unit</strong>. &nbsp;</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Top 10 Battle in Ames

<p>For the past two weeks players have been representing their countries in hopes to earn a World Cup bid. Countries are battling to be seeded among the field of 32. Wednesday&rsquo;s action might have been one of the more excited days for the stronger teams. Spain, Italy, Germany, and Belgium all earned shutout victories, while Poland kept their qualification hopes alive with a thrilling 92nd minute equalizer against England. There won&rsquo;t be much surprise should the top clubs allow their star players a bit of a rest during this weekend&rsquo;s action. For that reason, we will tread lightly and keep our play to one unit.</p>

<h2>Manchester United vs Newcastle United | Saturday at 10 AM ET</h2>

<p>There&rsquo;s no denying the fact that Manchester United are one of the winners from the recent transfer window. The 2020 Premier League runner ups were busy, acquiring three high profile transfers. United were able to acquire Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and superstar Christiano Ronaldo. The addition of Ronaldo undoubtedly should mean more goal production.</p>

<p>For leg-one of the parlay, I am targeting the <strong>full game over 1.5 goals</strong>. For this leg to hit, all we need is two goals in the game. For Newcastle United this mark has hit in all three league matches, with two of the matches featuring six and four goals. While Newcastle are not exactly at the bottom of the table for both goals allowed and points, they are dangerously close. Their defense has been terrible with the worst xGA in the entire Premier League.</p>

<p>Manchester United have played decent defense, but they have all the tools to carry this total themselves. They have scored seven goals this season and have done well putting themselves in strong goal scoring positions. Ole has mentioned that Ronaldo will be ready to be featured on the 11th. I fully expect him to put on a strong showing for his old club.</p>

<h2>Bayer Leverkusen vs Dortmund | Sunday at 11:30 AM ET</h2>

<p>Bayer Leverkusen have gotten off to a great start from the stellar play of Patrick Schick and Moussa Diaby. They have scored four goals in back to back games. While they shut out Borussia M&ouml;nchengladbach to the tune of 4-0, they conceded a goal to Augsburg in a 4-1 victory. Despite holding both opponents to just one goal, they had a combined xGA of over 3.63. I&rsquo;ll be the first person to tell you that xG isn&rsquo;t everything, but if you have a near two goal xGA against a team as offensively talented as Dortmund, you will surely pay.</p>

<p>There&rsquo;s a strong possibility that key players on this Dortmund team will get much deserved rest after coming back from a busy international window. With a midweek road Champions League fixture, it would be wise for them to rotate a few legs. However, they still have the talent and tactics to cash the second leg of our parlay.</p>

<p>For the second leg of the parlay we are going with <strong>both teams to score and over 2.5 goals</strong>. Macro Rose&rsquo;s high press has been effective yet leaky. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals has hit in all four of Dortmund&rsquo;s fixtures this season. They are the tied for the most goals scored this season and still have conceded fifth most.</p>

<p>Bayer Leverkusen has the offensive firepower to keep up with Dortmund. I am placing one unit on this parlay: <strong>Manchester United/Newcastle United over 1.5 goals + Leverkusen/Dortmund BTTS/over 2.5 goals (-128)</strong>.</p>

<p>Open your windows and take a deep whiff of the air? Smell that? It&rsquo;s the smell of College Football Saturdays! One of the most exciting days of the week. For months most of us sat on our hands, praying for the return of College Football. Now that it&rsquo;s here, each week I will give you my thoughts on particular match ups that I like and big games that need action. <h2>#5 Georgia vs #3 Clemson: Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET at <em>Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. </em></h2>

<p>What an amazing way to kick off the College Football season! A top-10 match up in the opening weekend. For both Georgia and Clemson, this match up has playoff implications. Georgia enters this match up with high expectations and a true Heisman contender in JT Daniels. There&rsquo;s no denying the fact that Daniels makes the Bulldogs much better offensively. Last season Georgia averaged 8.3 more points per game with JT on Field. This should make up for the absence of playmaker George Pickens and a relatively thin WR Corps.</p>

<p>As elite as Georgia&rsquo;s defense was last season (19.9 ppg), there will be some concerns with lack of experience in the secondary. I expect Clemson&rsquo;s ultra-talented quarterback DJ Uiagalelei to be able to exploit the inexperience, which will possibly determine the outcome of the match up. A good example of what to expect comes from the Ohio State vs Minnesota match up. In that game Minnesota was able to slow down the strong pass rush by attacking the younger corners on the field.</p>

<p>Highlighting Georgia&rsquo;s elite defense without mentioning the talent on Clemson&rsquo;s defense would be doing them a disservice. Clemson was second in the ACC in scoring defense and tied for first in both interceptions (14) and sacks (46). This defensive front has the ability to be the best in the country. They are returning a lot of talent and have plenty of depth.</p>

<p>This will be a closely contested battle, but with Georgia having the weaker secondary, I believe that Clemson will have the upper hand. I will be playing <strong>1 unit on Clemson -3 (-110).</strong></p>

<p>World Cup Qualification has resumed, and teams are vying for their shot at a chance to hoist soccer&rsquo;s most prestigious prize. The six FIFA confederations must determine the 31 (Qatar auto qualifiers) other teams which will make up the field for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. For teams like Argentina and Uruguay, the road has been made more difficult as a few players have been disallowed by their clubs to leave for international matches; citing Covid-19 quarantine rules as the reason for the exclusion.</p>

<h2>Faroe Islands vs Denmark: Saturday at 2:45 p.m. ET</h2>

<h2>Line: Faroe Islands +2.5 (-110) | Denmark -2.5 (-105)</h2>

<p>For today&rsquo;s action we turn our attention to Faroe Islands as they host Denmark. The spread has been set at -2.5 and rightfully so. The last time Denmark took on Faroe Islands, they not only shut out the hosts but were able to win 4-0. With the previous contest only being a friendly, Denmark rotated a few players. They were still able to control the pace of the game and limit the amount of shots Faroe were able to get off.</p>

<p>I expect this match to have similar results. If you look solely at the FIFA rankings, Denmark sit at #10 while Faroe Islands sit at #113. For Denmark it starts with the man between the pipes. <p>College Football is finally among us! This has been a moment every degenerate has been waiting for; a chance to put on their lucky shirt and bet on their favorite football teams. Much like many other sports, we are entering the college football season with a bit of unknown. Teams, players, and even conferences sat out last season due to Covid. Now, we are back! This week we will turn our attention to Connecticut vs Fresno State, where we have a pair of bets to kick of college football opening week.</p>

<h2><strong>Connecticut vs Fresno State | Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET</strong></h2>

<p>UConn were one of the teams who decided to sit out the 2020 college football season due to the risks Covid-19 presented. While they decided to not participate in any games the Huskies did have a practice only fall. After any lengthy absence from the field it&rsquo;s always tough to gauge how a team will perform upon their return. Take the UAB Blazers for example. They returned to football in 2017 after a two-year hiatus and finished 6-2 in conference play with a 6-0 home record.</p>

<p>However, comparing UAB and UConn is like comparing apples to oranges. Before the decision to cancel all potential games, this UConn side was terrible. They have not had a winning season since 2010; their last year of football they fished sixth in the American, while only winning two games. In UConn&rsquo;s last full season, they allowed a total of 40.5 points per game and finished 0-8 in conference play.</p>

<p>Unfortunately for UConn, they are going up against a stout Fresno State offense. This is a Fresno State offense who is returning starting quarterback Jake Haener. Haener threw for over 2,000 yards and has plenty of wide receiver depth with five of his top guys returning. Most notably, leading wide receiver Jalen Cooper who, as a freshman, led the team with 520 yards and five touchdowns in just six games. In addition to the players previously mentioned Fresno State is also returning their touchdown record holding running back Ronnie Rivers.</p>

<p>In 2020 Fresno State finished second in the Mountain West in points per game (32.8) and first in yards per game at 479 yards. It&rsquo;s true, the Bulldogs did not play any of the top four defensively ranked teams, but they were still able to put up 38 points on Colorado State who finished fifth in total defense.</p>

<p>I like Fresno State a lot this week. Not only does Fresno State have the luxury of playing this game at home, they get to face a team coming back off a year break with an atrocious defense. UConn finished dead last in the American Conference in both total defense and offense; getting out gained 396 yards to 535. I generally shy away from big 20+ spreads, but I am confidently backing <strong>Fresno State -27.5 (-110) and Fresno State team total over 44.5 (-130) each to win one unit. </strong></p>

<p>So much has happened in the soccer world in the past week. For starters, MLS is back, so now you will be able to watch more soccer on ESPN. Hansi Flick saddened Bayern Munich as he asked for his contract to be terminated, as he pursues the manager role for the Germany National team. And notably, Chelsea continue to show their improved defense after a stellar 1-nil victory over Manchester City to advance to the final round of the FA Cup.</p>

Another interesting fact about Salzburg is their ability to produce top talent, which they later sell for a high price. A few notable players who once played for Salzburg are Erling Haaland, Sadio Mane, and Naby Keita.</p>

<p>Salzburg have been impressive once again for the 2020-21 campaign. They are 17-1-4 in 22 games this season with an astounding goal differential of 43. Strum Graz, Wattens, and Wolfsberg, are the only teams to have beaten them this season.</p>

<p>Often when you are high on the table, motivation is lost, and teams begin to drop points regardless of the opponent. Luckily for Salzburg backers, we are now lucky to be in round three of the Championship play-of bracket. Now through the rest of the playoffs they will play top six clubs not only for a league title, but for a berth into next years Champions League.</p>

<p>Looking at this match we know it will be tough and hard fought. This weekend we are letting stats and star power dictate our action. From top to bottom Salzburg might have the more complete team. Tactically, the advantage goes to LASK.</p>

<p>Salzburg have the advantage when it comes to head to head&rsquo;s they have won 25 of the 39 contests between the two and won the last five.</p>

<p>Salzburg have a +17.4 xG differential and a +22-goal differential. They are averaging three goals per contest to LASK 1.8. Both teams are level with an average of one goal conceded per match. And LASK have the advantage in clean sheets at 10 to seven.</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s highly unlikely Salzburg lose the match this weekend and only having one draw on the season, I am crossing that possibility off as well. -1 gives us the much-needed push protection. Should this match be deadlocked heading into the 75th minute, if the price is right, I will be firing a live moneyline bet at Salzburg because the 76th to the 85th minute is where they do their most damage during their games. In fact, they lead the Bundesliga in goal inside that nine-minute window.</p>

<p>After a fun and exciting international break, the world&rsquo;s top players return to their domestic clubs to continue the chase for a title or push to fight off relegation. One thing we learned from these past two weeks is regardless of the country, any one is susceptible to an ugly defeat.</p>

<p><strong>Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid</strong> (Sunday at 2 p.m. ET)</p>

Luckily for them, they will be playing host this weekend.</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s always tricky to expect players to play at a high level upon their return from break. If one thing has been obvious this weekend, it&rsquo;s the lack of focus in in front of net. Top clubs have conceded a decent amount of goals to lesser opponents.</p>

<p>The angle we are going to attack for this fixture is both teams to score. Whenever there&rsquo;s an Atletico match, the first thought is to go with both teams <strong><em>not</em></strong> to score. With Atletico leading the league in clean sheets, it&rsquo;s understandable if you would decide to place your money on both teams to score, no. For me, I am going with both teams to score yes for +110.</p>

<p>Going against the eye test is always tough, but we must look at facts and form to make an educated decision. In Atletico&rsquo;s last 10 fixtures, they have conceded a goal in all but three. In their last 10 road matches Atletico Madrid have conceded in six.</p>

<p>Sevilla is another club who does well with keeping their opponent out of the back of the net. In their last 10 they have conceded in six. The question here, is will Sevilla score? I am putting my money on yes. Sevilla have done well to score while they are at home. Out of every home match this season, they have only failed to score twice. With the +110 price tag, tired legs (especially on defense) returning from international break, and the data to back it up, I will be taking <strong>BTTS (+110)</strong>.</p>

Brad's Best Bets - Top Four Battle in Spain

<h1>Real Madrid vs Atalanta (Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET)</h1>

<p>If Atalanta wishes to advance to the next round of the Champions League, they must bounce back from their tough 1-0 home loss in the first leg against Real Madrid. The landscape of the match changed when Tobias Stiebler issued Remo Freuler a red card in the 17th minute. Prior to the red, Atalanta looked very much in the match.</p>

<p>After the red, Atalanta played well defensively and were able to limit Real Madrid to one away goal. Now down 1-0 aggregate, expect Atalanta to battle in this contest. Outside of Freuler sitting due to red card suspension, Gasperini has just about a full roster heading into this clash.</p>

<p>Should Atalanta win this game 1-0, they would head to extra time to battle for their spot in the next round. With the moneyline at +240, it provides tremendous value as Atalanta probably is the better team, and they would be wise to limit Real&rsquo;s offensive output.</p>

<p>Yet, my attention turns to a different Atalanta wager. Yes, the value is with the moneyline, but&nbsp;if Atalanta wants to win this game they will have to score multiple goals. Keeping Real Madrid out of the net at home has been next to impossible this season. The only home game where they were held without was an early fixture with Cadiz. They dominated the possession but failed to produce many quality looks. They have scored in 15 consecutive home matches since that 1-0 defeat.</p>

<p>Atalanta are no strangers to scoring goals. For the second consecutive season, they look to be crowned Serie A scoring champions. With 63 goals scored this season, they are just two goals behind league leader Inter in points and goals.</p>

<p>Despite Real Madrid&rsquo;s strong defense and Sergio Ramos finally being healthy and fit, I believe this match will feature a fair amount of goals. With Atalanta being down, I look for them to push the pace and try to level it early. Last thing you want to do is allow Zidane to tell his squad to park the bus.</p>

<p>Borussia Monchengladbach played a tough mid-week Champions League fixture against Premier League leader Manchester City. City dominated possession and walked away with a clean sheet. To many, it was unclear what game plan Marco Rose implemented for this contest. To me it looked like he didn&rsquo;t want his club to get embarrassed.</p>

<p>Now Gladbach must turn around and battle in a tough road fixture against RB Leipzig. Since Marco Rose has agreed to become the Dortmund&rsquo;s new head coach at the end of the season Gladbach has been a shell of themselves.</p>


<p>Many believe over the past two weeks Glabach&rsquo;s struggles have come in their opponent&#39;s final third. Sure, some shots have not fallen, but let&rsquo;s face it, they have been awful on both sides of the ball. In this two-week span their xG has gone down by a large margin while their xGA has gone up.</p>

<p>To be fair to Gladbach, two of the three games they played were against very efficient defenses. Naturally when there&rsquo;s a big change to the coaching staff, regression is expected.</p>

<p>Leipzig might be one of the surprise teams of the season. They are currently second on the table and have an outside chance of making it to the next round of the Champions League. Being just two points behind Bayern Munchen, Leipzig must do everything in their power to obtain at least one point in every fixture despite the opponent.</p>

<p>Leipzig are in great form during interleague play. In their last five, they are four and one while outscoring their opponents 11 to four. Even with Leipzig&rsquo;s recent clean sheets, their defense efficiency has gone done. At some point this will catch up with them domestically. One could argue, it caught up with them in their home Champions League fixture where they were defeated 2-0.</p>

<p>That being said, I will be taking <strong>Both Teams to Score Yes (-140)</strong> for two units. Gladbach is one of the top teams statistically when it comes to scoring at least one goal. BTTS yes is 77% for Gladbach, we do face a steep drop off when we move to Leipzig where they are 45%. When you couple Leipzig&rsquo;s dip in defensive efficiency, and Gladbach&rsquo;s desire to bounce back from their recent shutout loss, BTTS begins to be worth more than the (-140) price tag.</p>

<p>Undefeated Buffalo heads to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan in hopes to win their first MAC championship since 2008. This might be one of the most complete teams Buffalo has had in recent years. At the beginning of the season the spotlight was on junior quarterback Kyle Vantrease. Now it is clear that Jaret Patterson has stolen the spotlight and is having one of the best seasons any Buffalo&nbsp;running back has had. Patterson has rushed for 1,025 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is averaging 8.8 yards per carry.</p>

<p>This Buffalo team has had zero problems putting up points this year. They are the number one scoring offense in the country, averaging 51.8 points per game. The over has hit in nine of 11. Generally, it has been Buffalo carrying the bulk of the total, but Ball State has played very well themselves.</p>

<p>Ball State are having themselves a great season with their only loss coming at the start of the season at the hands of Miami Ohio. The Cardinals averaging 33.67 points per game and senior quarterback Drew Plitt has been having a great season. The total has cashed in seven out of 11 games for the Cardinals.</p>

<p>Since I posted the bet, the total has shifted three points. But 70 is still a reachable number.</p>

Aggies are 9-1-1 under in last 11 in December. Air Force is an under machine, 5-1 to the under in last 6. 4-0 Under in last four as favorite.</p>

<p>Texas -10: Line already moved 2 points. This could be a HUGE bounce back spot for Big Sam and company</p>

<p>Oklahoma State -2.5: Line has only moved one point. But I am a believer in this OK State team. Tied for second in the Big 12 is not a surprise. Most thought they would be competitive. With TCU having a &quot;down year&quot; defensively, this could be a perfect spot if you jump on this line early.</p>

<p>Texas A&amp;M (-7) vs Auburn: &nbsp;This line has moved 3.5 points already. I love games that have heavy implications vs a team who is desperate need of a bounce back. Keep in mind TAMU is 1-4 straight up in their last five games against Auburn</p>

<p>Indiana at Wisconsin -14.5: Line moved two points... Strange right? No Penix JR for the rest of the season. But Vegas knew that when the line was set. Honestly if this balloons, I&#39;m 100% taking the 6-0 ATS Indiana plus the points. Let&#39;s let the number rise. WHO IS JACK TUTTLE? The 6-foot-4 215lbs redshirt sophomore is a former four-star prospect out of California.</p>

<p>Oregon -10: This is a spot I really want to take advantage of. From what I&rsquo;ve seen, this line is an over reaction and has already moved past the original line of 9. Cal hasn&rsquo;t done anything this season to lean me the other way. In the last three match ups Oregon has won by 49 total points.</p>

<p>Boise State -27: This line will move most likely to the 30-point range. If you want BSU take it now. This will be a 45-14 victory</p>

<p>Iowa -13.5:&nbsp; This game sucks because I missed out on -11.5 -- I still think it&#39;s a 14-point victory. But I must sit out.</p>

<p>West Virginia +7: This is a lean that will most likely never make it to my betting card. Iowa State just played a HUGE game last week defeating the Texas Longhorns on Texas&rsquo; senior night. It&rsquo;s to note the WVU defense is 4th in the nation against the pass and 25th in the nation against the run. Could be a long night for Brock Purdy and Breece Hall. Don&rsquo;t think this line moves too much, so I will do some more digging. I think Matt Campbell is a good enough couch to ignore the rumors surrounding the possible vacant jobs.</p>

<p>Buffalo team total o32.5: Only thing keeping me off it is Ohio&#39;s ability to slow the game down. In the past 2 years they have only allowed a handful of opponents to reach that total. Why I say that is I don&rsquo;t want to be left holding a ticket for the over and team total and it ends around 30ish to 21. That&rsquo;s two loses. But if you take this, you better be ready to root on Jaret Patterson, he had eight total touchdowns last game!</p>

<p>Last weekend in College Football was odd to say the least. A week where three of the top four programs were not in action. Once again, the teams have been impacted by COVID-19. However, this week we are in for a treat with a few top 25 match ups and plenty of money to be made.</p>

<h2><strong>Appalachian State at #15 Coastal Carolina </strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Point Spread: </strong>Appalachian State +5.0 (-110) | Coastal Carolina -5.0 (-110)</h3>

<p>Prior to the start of the 2020 college football season, many casual football fans were unfamiliar with head coach Jamey Chadwell and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Chadwell is seen as somewhat of an overnight success; his mission to turn this program around officially began in January 2019 after he was promoted from interim head coach to the team&rsquo;s official head coach.</p>

<p>Coastal Carolina is led by freshman quarterback Grayson McCall. He has been outstanding orchestrating Chadwell&rsquo;s run heavy offense. McCall has racked up over 1,300 yard through the air and another 270 yards on the ground, while tallying 20 total touchdowns and only one interception.</p>

<p>Coastal is undefeated on the season while also being 5-1-1 against the spread (ATS). During this historic run, they are winning their games by an average of 21.6 points. It seems as if Vegas is struggling to figure out how to price the Chanticleers. Their average +/- against the spread is +17, meaning on average they beat the spread by 17 points.</p>

<p>The Appalachian State Mountaineers are having another impressive season themselves. They come into matchup with a 6-1 record and look to spoil Coastal Carolina&rsquo;s Cinderella season. The problem the Mountaineers face is their inconsistencies on the offensive side of the ball. In their game against Georgia State their defense did well to hold them to just 13 points, but their offense struggled and only put up 17.</p>

<p>With Appalachian State&rsquo;s inconsistencies on offense, it will be hard to think they will produce enough points to stay competitive late in the game. While the Mountaineers are on a 1-7 ATS run in their last eight games, we will gladly fade them and back the better Coastal Carolina.</p>

Many might say Harbaugh is on the hot seat, I&rsquo;d have to agree. Luckily for Coach Harbaugh, they are presented with a very winnable game against the Indiana Hoosiers.</p>

<p>When looking for games to back, it is very important you find teams that are either very hot or find themselves in favorable matchups. This game features the latter. Michigan owns the series between the two with their current winning streak at 24 games. The last time Indiana was victorious against the Wolverines was 1988. This is a great bounce back spot for Harbaugh and his team.</p>

<p>Before Michigan&rsquo;s tough loss against the Michigan State Spartans, the were 5-0 against the spread as favorites. Michigan looks to have found their quarterback in Joe Milton. Milton had a solid game against Michigan State despite struggling to find the endzone. He finished the game completing 32/51 of his passes for 300 yards and added another 59 yards on the ground through 12 carries. If Harbaugh allows Milton the freedom necessary, this could be a long game for the Hoosier.</p>

<p>Indiana on the other hand is not a team I am very worried about. Michael Penix Jr and the Indiana offense des not scare me. With all the preseason hype, I expected Penix and the Hoosier offense to make major leaps. That has not been the case.</p>

<p>With the current win streak at 24 and Michigan 5-1 against the spread, I will take <strong>Michigan -4 (-110)</strong> for <strong>three units</strong> to win <strong>2.72 units</strong>.</p>

<h2><strong>#1 Clemson Tigers at #4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish</strong></h2>

<p>Prior to the start of the season, this was slated as the biggest game of the season. With Trevor Lawrence sidelined due to COVID-19 the appeal dropped just a little. But to me and many College Football lovers, the anticipation of this game did not drop much. Coming into this game, neither team have been all that great at covering the season. However, both teams are both undefeated and have both the ACC Championship and National Championship in their sights. So, you better believe both teams will be up for this game.</p>

<p>Clemson might have lost Trevor Lawrence for this game, but former five-star quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is ready for his time in the spotlight. Last week Clemson struggled early against Boston College and found themselves in a hole at halftime. With the strong effort from their defense and great quarterback play from DJ Uiagalelei they were able to hold Boston College to under 70 yards in the second half and come out victorious.</p>

<p>With an extra week of practice, you better believe this offense will be ready for the tall task that sits in front of them. Clemson has failed to cover in their last two games, but that does not worry me. When Clemson has big games Dabo Sweeny has his boys up and ready to play. When I went back and looked, Clemson generally struggles to cover at home versus large underdogs with very large spreads. When they are on the road as favorites they generally cover; they have covered in 11 of their last 13 games.</p>

<p>On the other side of the ball you have a very solid Notre Dame team lead by star quarterback Ian Book. On paper this team checks all the boxes. A stout defense, a solid quarterback, and a good running game. But for this game we are going to have to look at this subjectively. When is the last time Notre Dame has won a big game? Honestly, when is the last time Notre Dame has been close in a big game? Can&rsquo;t remember? That&rsquo;s because they do not show up for big games.</p>

<p>The line movement is keeping me from making this a three- or four-unit play. But I am comfortable betting two units to win <strong>1.81 units</strong> on <strong>Clemson -6</strong>.</p>

Since I gave this bet out on Twitter and on the podcast, I will give you guys two free bets of the week.</p>

<p>For this week&rsquo;s free play of the week, I am going to the matchup between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas A&amp;M Aggies. When I saw this line, I was instantly attracted to Texas A&amp;M -12.5. &ldquo;Of course, Texas A&amp;M will blow them out by 20+.&rdquo; Easy. But that&rsquo;s what Vegas wants you to think. Many amateur gamblers do not take the time to actually dig into the game. This line passes the eye test to back Texas A&amp;M. But everything else does not fit. Arkansas at the end of last season and the beginning of this season have been sneaky good, and sneaky competitive. In their last 6 games they are 6-0 ATS. They also are 4-0 ATS this season. One thing that really intrigued me about this matchup was how each team compared against the spread. Not only is Arkansas 4-0 ATS this year but they are +12.5 vs the spread. They are coming into this game as an underdog and will look to play the role of the villain. In their last 6 as the underdog they are 6-0 ATS. In every season, there is a game or two that you must simply put a line through. That game against Georgia where they were defeated by 17 points is one of those situations. The world has seen how dominate Georgia&rsquo;s defense is. They simply shutdown Feleipe Franks and the Razorback offense. Since that game Franks has been on a tear; throwing for 774 yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 interception, and completing over 68% of his passes. If you need more fuel to back the Razorbacks, the matchups between these two are historically close. Four of the last 5 games between the two have been decided by 7 or less.</p>

<p>Second free play of the week we are traveling to Virginia where Mack Brown and the #15 North Carolina Tar Heels take on the Cavaliers. There are a few reasons we are going to attack this game. The first reason is this North Carolina team is legit and there is no way Virginia to score enough points to keep up with the Tar Heels. This high-powered offense by Sophomore QB Sam Howell, although he is playing well, he is not the sole reason why this offense is averaging over 532 yards and nearly 38 points per game. This rushing attack is world class. The two headed monster of Javonte Williams and Michael Carter is difficult to stop. This rushing attack averages 250 yards per game. Defensively, Virginia is below average at stopping the run. They allow nearly 137 yards per game on the ground which is 71st in the country. Against Miami they were fortunate to have start RB Cam Harris get injured early in the game. In their game against Wake Forest they allowed the Demon Deacons to rush for over 170 yards. Look for Javonte Williams to have a field day against Virginia. If William&rsquo;s rushing prop is around 100-105 I will absolutely take the over.</p>

But this is a great match up for us to break down, I feel we have a bit of an edge with the Oklahoma State defense vs the Iowa State offense. This matchup has huge implications, both teams are trying to fight for that top spot in the Big 12. For the Cyclones there is a lot to like. Winners of three out of their four matches with their only loss coming at the beginning of the season to Louisiana. Since then they have won their last 3 and covered in 2 of those. They also own a big victory over defending conference champs, Oklahoma. Prior to the season start, many analysts believe it would be Brock Purdy who would be responsible for this team&rsquo;s success. With 912 yards, 4 TDs and only 1 interception, you could say he is playing well. But the true spark plug for this team is sophomore running back, Breece Hall. Hall has already accounted for 8 TDs and 531 yards on the ground.&nbsp; How Hall plays in the big game will dictate the outcome of the match. I spoke on it earlier; Oklahoma States defense is playing great football. It&rsquo;s not often when a Big 12 team other than TCU holds their opponents to under 10 points per game. They are very stout against only allowing 93.67 yards per game. Good news for Oklahoma State is, starting QB Spencer Sanders has been cleared to play after having only thrown two passes and being injured in game one. Although Sanders gives this Cowboys team a lift, he much like Burdy for Iowa State is not the focal point of this offense. That belongs junior running back Chuba Hubbard. Hubbard came back to Stillwater to do something special. The Cowboys were my preseason pick to win the Big 12 and I believe this year, they have the defense to make their dreams become a reality. If we look at two very important trends, Iowa State is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games, and Oklahoma State is 7-2 ATS in their last 9. I am putting one unit on Oklahoma State to win and cover the 3 points.</p>

<p>Last week we took Clemson -14.5 first half vs Georgia Tech. That bet cashed with ease as the Tiger went on to win the first half 52-7. The Tigers are the class of the ACC and they made that more than obvious this season by defeating conference opponents by a combined score of 193 to 60. Although I fully expect the Tigers to cover the 46 points, we will focus our attention on the 1st quarter and 1st half. Clemson has outscored its opponents in the 1st quarter 48 to 7 and 124 to 27. Their opponent, Syracuse is having a season they wish they could forget. The Orangemen are 1-4 and are coming off back to back double-digit losses. One at the hands of the Liberty Flames. This Syracuse offense will be up against a wall all season vs this Clemson team who only allows 12 points per game while averaging 48 on offense. He 21-year-old QB Trevor Lawrence will continue his dominance and put up video game stats in the first half. We will be betting Clemson to cover in both the first quarter and the first half.</p>

The world knows last season the Hoosiers were one of the hottest teams in football going 8-4, something they had not done in over 26 seasons. They finished the season on a 7-3 ATS streak. This week will not be an extension of their hot start last season. James Franklin knows that this year, his Nittany Lions will make their own push to the College Football Playoffs. QB Sean Clifford returns for Penn State after having a phenomenal season. Throwing for 2,654 yards 23 TDs and 7 interceptions. Bad news for the Nittany Lions, lead back Journey Brown could possibly miss the season with an undisclosed medical condition. Penn State will likely turn to sophomore backs, Noah Cain and Devyn Ford. The duo combined for 737 yards and 11 TDs in last season&rsquo;s campaign. With Penn State knowing the severity of this game, expect then to come out swinging and ready to win.</p>

<p>Listen, I am all for trends and stats that sway you one way or the other. If you look at the UCF game this week, all the trends tell you to take Memphis. I mean UCF is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games as a favorite. Weird game two weeks ago for the Knights. Dillon Gabriel didn&rsquo;t not play as expected, but that could be attributed to the poor play calling or the wet conditions. Either way, I am putting a line through the Tulsa game and moving onto the Memphis game. I Fully expect this game to feature a lot of points and two very skilled QBs. The advantage for UCF lies in the secondary. Memphis proved against SMU they have a lot of questions in the secondary that need to be answered. Shane Buechele threw for a total of 456 yards and 3 TDs. That secondary is going to have trouble against the efficient Dillon Gabriel who has thrown for 1,55 yards, 9 TDs and 2 INT. UCF is also coming into this game with a 13-game win streak over Memphis. With a favorable line of -2.5, I will gladly take UCF to win and cover.</p>

That notion has quickly been dispelled and I will no longer say such foolish things. Not only did the Cardinals embarrass themselves in a disappointing loss to Georgia Tech, they are terrible on the road. We know in 2020 road games are not the same as years past but is not going to affect the way I position my wager on this game. Unfortunately for QB Malik Cunningham, Louisville is lacking in effort on the defensive end. In their game against Georgia Tech, they were outscored 20-0 in the 4th to all but ice the 46-27 victory for the Yellow Jackets. On the other side of the ball we have a vastly underrated Notre Dame team who at the beginning of the season had all the attention on their quarterback. Now that we are a few weeks into the season we have began to realize how special their running back core is. Notre Dame has three weapons out of the backfield to help take some of the pressure off Ian Book. Not one to follow too much &ldquo;sharp&rdquo; action but this stood out to me a bit, 53% of the bets are on Notre Dame but over 75% of the money is on them. I have no problem following this trend and taking Notre Dame -17.</p>

<p>On Saturday, the Mike Leach era begins, and his air raid offense makes its way to the SEC West. For those who are unfamiliar with Mike Leach he began his coaching career at Iowa Wesleyan University under the tutelage of Hal Mumme. The two offensive masterminds are responsible for developing what&rsquo;s known as the &ldquo;air raid&rdquo; offense. &nbsp;This offense relies heavily on shotgun sets with four wide receivers. Generally, teams under Mike Leach and teams with coaches from under the Mike Leach umbrella are known for their high offensive production. This is probably a welcomed sight for the Mississippi State faithful, just 2 short years ago Mississippi State was dead last in the nation in scoring against conference opponents. Luckily for Leach, graduate transfer KJ Costello is joining the team this season. The two-time captain started over 25 games during his time at Stanford. And let&rsquo;s face it, Costello wasn&rsquo;t built for Stanford&rsquo;s run first offense. From what I&rsquo;ve seen from Costello, he will be more than happy to see his draft stock rise under Mike Leach. Take Gardner Minshew for example. Yes, Minshew was not the most sought after QB in the 2019 draft as he was selected as the 178th overall pick in the 6th round. But if you remember, Minshew was one of the most unknown QBs in America after an uneventful stay at East Carolina University and then being slotted as the 4th QB on the Alabama depth chart after he arrived as a grad transfer. When he arrived in Pullman to play under Mike Leach at Washington State University, Minshew quickly became one of the hottest QBs in the country. His lone year at Washington State he threw for 4,779 yards, more than double what he threw in 2017. He also threw 38 TD passes which was 22 more than he threw his last year at ECU. Outside of the addition of Costello, Leach was fortunate to inherit 1,000+ yard rusher Kylin Hill and Alabama grad transfer Tyrell Shavers.</p>

<p>This all sounds great on paper, but due to COVID-19 limiting practices, it will be an uphill battle for this team to climb. Luckily for them, this LSU team they are playing this year is <strong>not</strong> the LSU team they played last year. Let&rsquo;s start with the obvious&hellip; Heisman trophy winner Joe Burrow is no longer on the team. Burrow arguably put together one of the best single season college campaigns by any QB in history. On top of losing Burrow, LSU had 14 starters drafted from their team and more than 6 of those players are now starters in the NFL. To make the road to glory that much more difficult, they lost nearly their entire offensive line. To make matters worse, LSU lost two highly effective coaches. Dave Aranda who served as the defensive coordinator for four years. In addition to losing Aranda, Joe Brady, the passing game coordinator took a job with Matt Rhule for the Carolina Panthers. Brady was the mastermind of that offense who is credited with the development of Burrow. With so many losses it&rsquo;s tough for me to be comfortable taking a team to win by nearly 20 points.</p>

With the Premier League slowly working to bring fans back, we will be sure to attack the better and healthier side for now. This Sunday we travel to Stamford Bridge in a clash between retooled Chelsea and last years League Champs, Liverpool. Without the slew of injuries for Chelsea this game would generally be a no bet for me. But with Chelsea being banged up it&rsquo;s hard to pass up the value here. Last weekend Liverpool got its &ldquo;Championship Hangover&rdquo; game out of the way with a high scoring 4-3 win over newly promoted Leeds. In the last bout between these two clubs, we saw a high scoring affair. This matchup started with Chelsea&rsquo;s orchestrator Pulisic on the bench and Liverpool quickly jumped to an early 4-1 lead before Lampard decided to add Pulisic to the mix. At times, when Pulisic is out of action it feels as if Chelsea is searching for an identity. It will take some time for Chelsea to familiarize themselves with their new identity. Playing against the league champs without their star player will leave them a bit disorganized. Although we are backing Liverpool in this game, the future is bright for Frank Lampard and Chelsea. With the additions of Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz, and Timo Werner. Look out for Chelsea to make its way to the top of the table.</p>

Just as a heads up for future reference, when I see a line I really like early, I post it in the BetKarma Discord chat way in advance. When the line for Man City opened, I jumped on it immediately. With that being said, I am backing Manchester City -1.5 (-115), the line has moved since then and you now must pay (-135). Either way, I like still like it. With Lyon knocking out Serie A Champions, Juventus, bettors are backing them. Lyon plays a very defensive style of football. Problem they face is they play second leading Premier League goal scorers Manchester City. Lyon was a 1 goal underdog against Juventus and was lucky to have only lost by 1. If you watched the game, you would see Juventus dominated possession and the majority of the game. And the stat sheet showed Juventus won the possession game 62/38 and out shot them 16 to 6. Juventus&rsquo; lack of quality around the net and Memphis Depay&rsquo;s penalty kick kept Lyon close enough to advance into the next round. Manchester City boasts an offense of very skilled scorers. Even without Sergio Aguero, Manchester City has one of the best offensive units in football. When you have players like, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Kevin De Bruyne scoring is not difficult. Manchester City has scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last matches and in the 2 games they scored less than 2 goals, they were held scoreless. Of those 8 games, they score 4 or more goals. When playing Manchester City, it is imperative you weather the early storm. This will not be the case for Lyon, as I feel they will concede early and will be playing from behind for the majority of the game. This will leave them open to the counter attack Manchester City is so good at. The seventh placed Lyon lacks the offensive production to keep this game close for a full 90 minutes. I have locked in this game as a 3-unit play.</p>

<h2>Raheem Sterling Anytime Scorer (+106)</h2>

<p>Anytime scorer props can be fun, or they can be a nightmare if you&rsquo;re solely value chasing. You could make an argument for chasing the value on Phil Foden at +205 or Kevin De Bruyne at +175. KDB is a proven ball striker who generally takes the penalty shot (or Sterling) if it comes down to it. And Foden is a promising young talent who has proved he can change the landscape of the game at any moment. For me, I need to focus on consistency and the other teams&rsquo; vulnerabilities. Raheem Sterling has been a bright light for the club since Aguero went down and has been on an absolute tear. Sterling has scored at least 1 goal in 4 out of his last 6 matches and has scored a total of 6 goals in that span. The pace Sterling brings allows him to get in behind the back lines of the defense. He has touch with the ball and quality around the net. Like I said before, if you want to chase value, go ahead and grab KDB. I will be placing a unit on Raheem Sterling Anytime Scorer.</p>

In Manchester City&rsquo;s last 3 Champions League games there has been at least 3 goals scored and in 14 of their last 17 games, they have score 2 or more themselves. I am sure many people will relish at the opportunity to take under 3 goals. But I am predicting a score line of 3-1 Manchester City.</p>

They defeated Napoli 2-0, it wasn&rsquo;t the prettiest of games, but they got the job done. The following game they went Bergamo and defeated Atalanta as a +155 underdog. On the other side of the ball, Getafe hasn&rsquo;t played a competitive match since July 19th and they were on a terrible skid. Getafe has only won 1 match since the restart and lost 5 out of 11. Only bit of worry I see in this game is the contract confusion facing Antonio Conte. But these are professionals and they are on a mission. If the Inter ML becomes too juicy, you can take -0.75 instead.</p>

To me this is close to a max play as you will be getting positive odds for -1. If you look at the matchup history between the two teams, you would notice Juventus has had a tremendous amount of success against their opponents. The last time Udinese has picked up a result against Juve was March 5th, 2017. In the past four matches between the two sides Juventus has outscored Udinese 15 to 2, leaving them without a goal in 3 of the 4 matches. We are getting a favorable line here because Juventus has not been all that brilliant as of late losing to Milan 4-2 then following that up with draws against both Atalanta and Sassuolo. But if you watched their performance against Lazio, you would have full confidence in this bet. Maurizio Sarri seemed to have gotten in his teams&rsquo; ear about constantly pressing and not retreating when you lose possession. Their constant pressure gave Lazio fits all game, and frankly, Lazio was lucky to have scored. Juventus is fortunate to play a side that is less skilled than Lazio. In fact, Udinese have only won 3 games since the restart. Only worry I have in this matchup is Udinese often plays conservative, which could lead to a 1-0 game and a push on our bet. But if you think Udinese is getting a point out of the reigning Serie A Champions, fade this pick.</p>

I will take Roma -1.5 (-120) for 2 units and Roma -2 (+135) for 1 unit. These bets are essentially a fade of the already relegated last place SPAL. Since the restart SPAL has not won a game and have only picked up a result in one game in a 2-2 thriller vs AC Milan. Let me put this plainly, SPAL are terrible. They are not only ranked last, but they are the proud owners of the worst goal differential in Serie A. With SPAL already relegated they do not have much more than pride left to play for. On the other hand, you have Roma who are playing for a result. A win here jumps them over 5th placed Milan nestled in the Europa League spot. The angle I am taking this weekend is the total in a matchup that features two of Serie As top scoring sides. Since the restart, the total has gone over in 4 out 5 of Juventus matches. They have been scoring in bunches since their two Coppa Italia games where they failed to score a single game. On the other side of the ball you have Atalanta, a tea who practically scores at will. Leading Serie A by a wide margin in total goals scored with 85. In the last match between the two sides it was very one sides with Juve winning 3-1. Since then there has been a resurgence of the Atalanta offense. I like this game a lot and am comfortable backing the over.</p>

Maurizio Sarri&rsquo;s side at one point of the season looked in danger of breaking that streak where they were tied at the top of the table with two teams only 1 point behind. Since their last defeat on February 8th, Juventus have won 6 straight Serie A matches. Since the restart they have outscored their Serie A opponents 9 to 1. One might make the argument that the opponents they have faced thus far have not been very tough (Bologna, Lecce, Genoa), but let&rsquo;s be clear 15th placed Torino is not much better. Matches between the two sides have always been played close. But we cannot overlook the fact that since Ronaldo and Sarri had their meeting to produce more scoring, the Old Lady have scored 6 goals in two games. If I were to make a final prediction, I would have this game landing somewhere between 2-0 and 3-1 both of which are covers for Juventus.</p>

Jurgen Klopp&rsquo;s team was looking for victory to sweeten an already glorious EPL campaign. After giving away a cheap penalty early in the game, Liverpool was up against the wall. Once they conceded a second goal, it was all but writing on the wall for them. Manchester City was smart, they sat back and waited for Liverpool to attack and countered them when they did. After getting decimated 4-0 the 2018 champs, Liverpool, find themselves in a great bounce back spot. The matchup between Liverpool and Ashton Villa is a matchup between the second best and the second worst goal differentials. One would assume if Liverpool had defeated Manchester City, Klopp would have given his stars a much-deserved weekend off. But that was not the case, I expect Klopp to make a statement as they close out the weekend. Let&rsquo;s be honest here, Liverpool will be hungry for goals this game and will have plenty of opportunities to score. Aston Villa is not shy about conceding goals, having allowed 60 so far this season. Now the Reds are back on their home pitch, Liverpool will look to dominate their opponent. Feel free to wait to see the lineups before heading to the ticket window to make your bets. Personally, I am taking this game for 1.5 units regardless of how they line up.</p>

<p>I will be very clear here. At first I thought weekend&rsquo;s slate isn&rsquo;t to die for. I could reach and throw out some totals for us to bet, but I would prefer to do that live in our discord channel or on my Twitter account. Personally, when you are unsure of what lineups will be brought out, you must protect yourself from being on the wrong side of a total. One thing that is for certain, is Manchester City&rsquo;s younger talent is the real deal. The league leaders in goals scored this season are in good hands as they look to replace David Silva. In all honesty, they are in a great place with the emergence of 20-year-old midfielder Phil Foden. The U-21 English player has already shown moments of brilliance finding the back of the net in 3 of his last 4 Premier League matches. Another bright light that will most likely get the nod is 19-year-old defender Eric Garcia. Regardless of how Manchester City lines up, they have the fire power to score goals vs the leaky defense of Southampton. From a pure numbers standpoint this game should land somewhere around 2.5 to 3.5 goals. In Manchester City&rsquo;s 32 matches 24 of those have gone over the total of 2.5 and 16 of them going over 3.5. On the other side of the ball, Southampton&rsquo;s numbers are similar. In 20 of their 32 matches the total has gone over 2.5 goals. Had this match been during the middle of the season, I would&rsquo;ve gladly taken City -1.5. But if City comes out even just a bit unmotivated, they could find themselves letting in a cheap goal or two. Playing this one light but should be a fun game to watch.</p>

When you are winding down the season, there are games that mean something for some and nothing for others. A few games stood out where we could possibly get some value if the other team decides to sit their stars and see what they have for the future. Although this is not an official play of mine, I could understand backing Leipzig ML at +125 vs Dortmund who will mostly sit banged up players like Erling Haalnd and Thomas Delany and give young players a solid look like 17-year-old Giovanni Reyna. The game will most likely hit the over 3 goal total that was set. The game we will look to take advantage of is Wolfsburg at Schalke. Schalke is coming off a devastating defeat at the hands of Frankfurt, a game where they did not play poorly and found the back of the net in the second half. Let&rsquo;s remember Schalke have not been victorious in over 14 games, and this game will be no different. Schalke has nothing to play for as they are out of contention for Europa League qualification and are safe from relegation. To make matters worse for Schalke they are still down their top two scorers, Suat Serdar and Amine Harit. While Wolfsburg could use these 6 points in the next two weeks to secure their spot in the Europa League. Wolfsburg is in a great spot to pounce on a victory here, they play a team who might not even get off the bus. I would like this matchup during the middle of the season, now I like it more when one side has nothing to play for.</p>

<p>La Liga is back in full force after a brief hiatus due to COVID-19. The games, similar to those from other leagues will be played behind closed doors. Both teams after their first game back were able to secure points. Sevilla&rsquo;s matchup with Real Betis was a one-sided affair as they kept Real Betis off the scorer&rsquo;s sheet picking up 3 points in a 2-0 victory. Levante was fortunate to survive their clash vs Valencia after Gonzalo Melero hit the equalizing penalty kick in the 98th minute. If you go back and watch both matches, it seems as if each team needed to knock off the rust. If we were back in a perfect world and fans were in attendance, Levante would relish the opportunity to play on their home pitch with the fans in full support. This season they have been two different teams, home and away. Levante has only secured 10 points on the road this season with a goal differential of -15. They will not be that fortunate as previously stated this game will be played without fans in the stadium. The head to heads between these two teams is also one sided. Levante has not defeated Sevilla since 2014, and in the past four games Sevilla&rsquo;s margin of victory is three goals. I am not going to be greedy here, I will pay the extra juice to secure the victory.</p>

The past few matches Leverkusen found themselves with out key player Kai Havertz as he nurtured a muscle injury. Should he decide to suit up for the clash with Schalke that would be an added benefit. But should Peter Bosz decide to sit him one more week, I strongly believe Leverkusen will not only win but cover the -1.0 spread. Reason being, Schalke has been awful in front of the net and really struggle to score goals. The last match Schalke has more than one goal was their only win in 2020, as they defeated Monchengladbach 2-0 back in January. If Schalke cannot keep Leverkusen out of the back of the net, they will find themselves down early and face a huge mountain to climb.</p>

In fact, Mainz is tied with Werder Bremen for the most points against at 62 this season, and they seemingly have no problem conceding goals. Their defensive lines often get pulled too close to the midfield allowing the opposition to score easily. Although Mainz did a decent job at keeping Hoffenheim out of the back of the net, there is still room for us to find value in goal totals. Struggling Mainz finds themselves just one point clear of the third relegation spot and winless in their previous five matches. The first bet we will attack is Frankfurt over 1.5 goals. Since the restart Frankfurt has scored at least 2 goals in all but one game, a game where they were defeated by 4th placed Gladbach. I fully expect Frankfurt to come out firing as they look to make it three victories in a row. A feat that they have yet to accomplish this season. This coupled with the fact that Mainz is fighting for their place in Bundesliga next season, we should see a rather open game. Mainz has Werder knocking on their doorstep and will do everything in their power to come away from this game with more than one point. The head to head trends for this match up tells a different story than the form each team is in leading up to this match. Frankfurt have not defeated Mainz in their last three matches. But, the first thing you must know about soccer, is you are only as good as you are playing. Mainz is playing awful and can&rsquo;t seem to score. Where Frankfurt might have hit their stride and are scoring at will. I could see this game ending 2-1 or 2-0 in favor of Frankfurt, so in addition to the 2 unit bet on Frankfurt&rsquo;s team total, I will be placing 1 unit on Frankfurt -0.5.</p>

<p>A winning strategy that I&rsquo;m sure a lot of successful soccer handicappers take is to look for matchups where you are getting positive moneyline value on the good team playing the bad. Many people will say it&rsquo;s a trap that the bookmakers set to lurer novice bettors into placing losing bets. But the math states otherwise. If you take 16 winning teams and have them all play each other, the better team only wins about 28% of the time. If you change the variance to include the all teams, and every team completes is a game against each other you will notice the better team (team with the better record) will win 55 &ndash; 60%. How does this work? Soccer and generally hockey are low scoring sports. In low scoring affairs every opportunity matters. Every number moving forward will be an approximation. Let&rsquo;s say Team A has a 60% chance of scoring when they have created a chance against the opposition. Since the opposition is on the defense and will be reliant on their reaction response to the oppositions attack, they have a marginally less chance to stop the goal. Let&rsquo;s say 55-58%. Now take Team B who is not as talented as Team A but still has created an attack on goal, they have a 55% chance to score where and Team A has a marginally worse chance to stop them. If the better team misses their opportunity to convert while the worse team scores, now the better team is facing an uphill battle to not only convert one of the 60% chances, but two, while still attempting to keep the other team out of the net. If the better of the two teams who is down by one needs to score twice, their chances are cut in half. But since they are also defending the oppositions attack, they are cut in half again. Mathematically giving them a 15.5% chance of scoring twice without conceding a goal.</p>

<p>With that being said, yes, Hoffenheim can go out there and lose the game. Bookmakers will be happy and those who backed Hoff will be upset. But mathematically if you take the good team with positive moneyline odds vs the bad team, you will still win 55%. Without having to pay juice you will come out positive. Lucky for Hoffenheim backers, Dusseldorf sit in the last relegation spot. They are bad. Where as Hoffenheim is trying to build on their two-game winning streak. I am taking Hoffenheim ML for 2 units.</p>

<p>If you are looking for great value strictly from a moneyline standpoint, it&rsquo;s hard to not back Hoffenheim at +135. To my surprise the line has not dropped much since it opened. We have 7th place Hoffenheim coming off a huge momentum building match against Koln, where they outright embarrassed their opponent. Both teams have plenty to play for, but both are on opposite sides of the table. With Hoffenheim&rsquo;s win over Koln, they are sitting just outside the sixth position with a possible chance to qualify for the Europa League. Then you have Mainz who can&rsquo;t seem to get out of their own way. They are just one point outside of the bottom three and could not help themselves at all last week. During their match against Union Berlin, they played nearly three fourths of the game up a man and could not find a way to secure three points. They have a pours defense that has given up the second highest amount of goals this season at 60. To sharpen my case for Hoffenheim, Mainz also owns the second most defeats in the league. Only thing keeping this from a larger unit play, is the fact that last week&rsquo;s shock victory by Hoffenheim was their first in seven matches. Last week&rsquo;s victory and the opportunity to play one of the weaker teams could be the spark they need with just six games left.</p>

<h2>Hertha Berlin (-115) vs Augsburg | Hertha Berlin vs Augsburg total 2.75</h2>

<p>The next game we will attack is Hertha Berlin vs struggling Augsburg. I am particularly in love with the total goals that was set for this match at 2.75. Goals have been a plenty in the last four matches between the two sides. In fact, 19 combined goals have been scored in the last four games between the two. All of which have eclipsed the four-goal total and one hitting the seven-goal mark. In Hertha&rsquo;s last nine games at least three goals have been scored and all but two have gone over three goal mark. The other side of the coin is not as promising but still a lot to admire. In Augsburg&rsquo;s last five games the three-goal mark was hit three times. We can put a line through their last match vs Paderborn where neither team found the back of the net. The reason for the line and us looking past that game is the fact that Paderborn was playing for a result whether that be three points or one point. The fact that Hertha is coming into this game on roll, gives me more confidence that they can provide enough support for the game to go over.</p>

<p>With that being said, the stronger of the two plays is Hertha moneyline. Hertha is coming into this match on a five-game unbeaten streak. With one of the draws against Bundesliga powerhouse RB Leipzig. Hertha would like to come into this game firing at all cylinders with a tough task looming next week against second ranked Borussia Dortmund. It is vital they secure the three points this week vs a weaker opponent than the one the face in their next match. As for Augsburg, outside of last weeks victory over struggling Schalke, it has been awhile since they have been victorious. Last week&rsquo;s victory was their first win in their last seven attempts. Beating Schalke is not much of a tall task as they themselves have not been in the winner&rsquo;s circle in their last eight games.</p>

<p>Another team coming into their game this weekend with a bit of a momentum, is Wolfsburg who have been winners in two of their last three competitions. And last week they looked the part of Europa League hopefuls with a decisive victory over top-3 Bayer Leverkusen. They now sit three points clear of seventh ranked Hoffenheim. Great news for Wolfsburg is Frankfurt has not defeated them in their last four meetings, with Wolfsburg getting the win in three of those games. On the other hand, Frankfurt has struggled. They have not won in their last five games, and don&rsquo;t seem to be going anywhere fast as they are just three points clear of that bottom three spot. Look for Wolfsburg to continue the momentum and get a victory this weekend.</p>

In fact, Haaland has scored in 12 of his 13 matches with Dormund and I don&rsquo;t look for him to slow down now. Last week I posted in Discord Erling Braut Haaland would score a goal. Not only did we cash the ATS prop, but if you took the plus money on him being the first goal scorer you cashed as well. Wolsburg looks to be a much tougher opponent only allowing a league second best 31 goals. The beauty of this prop is the BVB target man only has to find the back of the net once.</p>

<p>Part of this is a value play, and the other part is backed with statistics. The last time these two teams played they were not trigger shy nor did they play stellar defense, especially in the first half. Both teams scored in the first half with easy. It is a bit unnerving that neither team scored in the second half in that match, but the numbers do not lie. Both teams can fill the back of the net with ease, Leverkusen has scored 49 times while Gladnach has scored 52. This is only a half unit play because although both teams can score well, 4 out of the last 5 contests between the two teams have gone under 2.5 goals. We need our goals early and often.</p>

<p>Oh boy, backing 9th place Hoffenheim after that lack luster performance last week is terrifying. But when betting on soccer, you must find spots where you can get positive odds. Neither team has won a match in their last 5 games, even with the long layoff Hoffenheim got embarrassed by Hertha. Luckily for Hoffenheim, they have defeated Paderdon three consecutive times with three consecutive shut outs. It&rsquo;s always nice for a team that&rsquo;s struggling to play the worst team in the league. Look for a low scoring win in this match up.</p>

<p>Backing Dortmund is easy and a no brainer. Last week they destroyed their opponent 4-nil and look to continue their dominance on the pitch. They will attempt to make it back to back defeats against Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg is a much better opponent than Schalke but 2nd ranked Dortmund has eyes on the title. Is surely helps that they will be getting Jadon Sancho back for this match up. I am back the hottest team in the league until they let me down.</p>

Your lead was squandered then you found yourself in the middle of the fairway with a shot into the par 5 in two. Then, splash, you found the water. After last weekend&rsquo;s heartbreak, I believe many people will bet him to win outright. Fair, but I do think his desire to quickly right his wrong will hinder his ability to finish atop of the leaderboard. That does not mean I think he will play poorly. In fact, I believe he will play very well. Well enough to finish in the Top 20, hence the -150 price tag for the bet. If it weren&rsquo;t for a 76 in round three last year, Fleetwood might have found himself atop the leaderboard and in the winner&rsquo;s circle. He is also currently 3 for 5 in Top 20 finishes. Take Fleetwood to finish in the Top 20 with confidence.</p>

Rory has played in 5 events this season and finished in the Top 5 in all 5. That is a perfect 5 for 5 in betting Rory Top 5. Rory is playing well and ranks highly in several categories. He is number 3 in driving distance and 7th off the tee. He&rsquo;s 1st not only from tee-to-green but also 1st in strokes gained over all. I wouldn&rsquo;t mind placing a small wager on Rory to win it all, he generally plays excellent at Bay Hill.</p>

And he only has two Top 10 finishes in six tournaments this season. But if Fowler can get off to a solid start on Thursday, he will find himself competitive all weekend. In his last three starts he has post scores over par in the opening round, then proceeded to either miss the cut or finish outside the Top 20. But the other two rounds he started the tournament off under par he finished inside the Top 10. We need Rickie to channel the beast we know he can and finish in the Top 10.</p>
